Peak Performance Principles
"The Six Attitudes of High Achievers"
John R. Noe
1.Make no small plans
Make no little plans; they have no magic to stir
men`s blood and probably themselves will not be realized. Make big plans; aim
high in hope and work, remembering that a noble, logical diagram once recorded
will never die, but long after we are gone will be a living thing, asserting
itself with ever- growing insistence. Remember that our sons and grandsons are
going to do things that would stagger us.. Let your watchword be order and your
beacon beauty.“Make no little plans. They have no magic to stir
men's blood and probably themselves will not be realized. Make big plans; aim
high in hope and work, remembering that a noble, logical diagram once recorded
will never die, but long after we are gone will be a living thing, asserting
itself with ever-growing insistence.”
2.Do what they fear
We fear many bad things: Crime, auto accidents, devastating storms, West Nile virus, chemical weapons, mass murderers, terrorists, earthquakes, demons and Satan himself!I often hear people explain the fear of the Lord as a mere respect or reverence. But the Bible uses the word fear at least 300 times in reference to God, so we make a mistake when we downplay it. what I belive this quote means is , never fear waht others says about just strive for the infinint. a distressing emotion
aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, etc., whether the threat is real or
imagined; the feeling or condition of being afraid.
3.Are you willing to prepare
I truly believe that everything that we do and
everyone that we meet is put in our path for a purpose. There are no accidents;
we're all teachers - if we're willing to pay attention to the lessons we learn,
trust our positive instincts and not be afraid to take risks or wait for some
miracle to come knocking at our door. Marla Gibb.At the end of the day, life is hard for all of
us (though to varying degrees), and there will be many obstacles to what we
want from life. You might look at successful people and from the outside – it
looks easy. You might think you’re putting in as much effort as anyone else.
But the truth is that as humans, we often overestimate our own determination
and underestimate the determination of those around us.
4.Are you willing to risk failure
Obvious to some and seemingly contradictory to
others, success is found by those who are willing to fail.
Even as history has seen countless examples of failure being a
common prelude to success, it is often overlooked as people scramble for the perfect
success formula. Unsurprising, as failure is not glorious like a
perfectly executed and foolproof plan. When you actually fail at
something, it isn’t fun.Avoiding Failure
Relationships – Simple. Don’t start any.
Career – Follow well-established, proven
paths. It may not be your first choice, but hey…it will pay the bills.
Dreams – You won’t try, because a realization
that you have failed to accomplish your dreams is terrifying (it is to
me). It’s as if you’re finding out you’re not good enough and are doomed
to live in mediocrity. You’d rather just leave this one untouched for
now, and tackle it someday when
you’resure you can succeed."The biggest risk is not taking any risk... In a
world that changing really quickly, the only strategy that is guaranteed to
fail is not taking risks. Mark Zuckerberg
5. Are teachable
"In this
new year, may you have a deep understanding of your true value and worth, an
absolute faith in your unlimited potential, peace of mind in the midst of
uncertainty, the confidence to let go when you need to, acceptance to replace
your resistance, gratitude to open your heart, the strength to meet your
challenges, great love to replace your fear, forgiveness and compassion for
those who offend you, clear sight to see your best and true path, hope to
dispel obscurity, the conviction to make your dreams come true, meaningful and
rewarding synchronicities, dear friends who truly know and love you, a
childlike trust in the benevolence of the universe, the humility to remain
teachable, the wisdom to fully embrace your life exactly as it is, the
understanding that every soul has its own course to follow, the discernment to
recognize your own unique inner voice of truth, and the courage to learn to be
still." What this is trying to say is basically if you are a teachable can learn things fast or slow.
6. Have heart
How does having a heart help ? well being mos things should be toched by you heart to really feel what good from bad is.Like this quote states , The
best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched -
they must be felt with the heart. Helen Keller. Put your heart, mind and soul into even your smallest acts. This is the secret of success.
Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone
else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - whiant, have the courage to follow your heart and
intuition. Steve JobsYour time is limited, so don't waste it living someone
else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of
other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your
own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and
intuition. Steve Jobs
I will apply this to my every day life by always having a heart with others and nice and very respectful to my peers
